1. Introduction

This policy covers our use of the personal information that we collect when you use the Make Me A Better Manager website (www.makemeabettermanager.com).  The policy also gives you information about cookies.

As part of the Make Me A Better Manager Programme, you will be asked to provide personal information either about yourself (if you are signing up) or about somebody else if you have been invited to provide feedback on that person.

By providing information, you enable the Make Me A Better Manager Programme to function.  We commit to safeguard your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other applicable legislation as well as aiming to meet the current best practice in the industry.

2. Cookies

During the course of your participation in the Make Me A Better Manager Programme, the pages you see, along with a short text file, called a cookie, are downloaded to your computer. Many websites do this to enable website publishers to gain information about what parts of the website you view, how often you visit their website, online traffic flows etc.  For the Make Me A Better Manager website, we do not use cookies although the external sites linked from this site may do so.

3a. Use and storage of your personal information – when you sign up to use the site

In order to register your account on the Make Me A Better Manager website, you will provide us with personal information such as your name and email address.  We will store this on the Make Me A Better Manager database in order to provide you with the services described in the Terms And Conditions that you agree to when you sign up.  We will not pass on this information to any third party unless required to do so by law such as in the investigation of the fraudulent use of a credit card.

Please note that we do not store your credit card information on our database.  This is handled by Paypal so please refer to their website for full details of how your credit card information is handled.

The responses that you provide in your self survey, together with those of your appraisers, are confidential.  You will not have access to individual responses from your feedback group members nor will they have access to their own responses or your report.  The responses from the members of your feedback group will be aggregated and, in the case of verbatim comments, made anonymous.

3b. Use and storage of your personal information – people giving feedback

The responses that you make in the questionnaire which you have been invited to complete will be kept confidential but shared, as described here, with the person who you are appraising.  The person who you are appraising will receive the results of your feedback aggregated with the other responses that she/he has.  Any comments that you make will not be attributed to you but you should be aware that if you include any comments that are specific to you, the person you are appraising may be able to determine that the comments have come from you.

4. Access to your personal information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that Expert Training Systems plc (ETS) holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected.  ETS will charge £10 for each information request.
